LisaLisa Wilkes

Lisa Wilkes graduated in 1998 from QUT and has worked in private practice for 12 years throughout south-east Queensland. Early in her career Lisa worked across a variety of practices including for Sports Medicine Australia and the Queensland Women’s soccer association focusing on injury prevention, management and rehabilitation. In 2003 Lisa bought Nerylie Whitecross’s Stafford practice which she renamed the Podiatry Point.  The Podiatry Point later merged with The Footspot and relocated to Stafford Heights. 

Lisa now has premises in both Stafford Heights and Toowoomba.  Lisa enjoys the challenge of all aspects of podiatry and splits her time between the two clinics. On a personal level Lisa has competed in soccer and triathlons and presently enjoys trekking and cycling around the world.


NerylieNerylie Whitecross

Diabetes Educator’s Course 1996

Nerylie graduated from QIT in 1982 and spent five years at The Princess Alexandra hospital in Brisbane working primarily with high risk patients in the diabetes, rheumatology and rehabilitation units. This began Nerylie’s interest in diabetes complication prevention, wound management and patient education.

Nerylie has travelled rural Queensland with Diabetes Australia and the Arthritis Foundation providing patient and professional education.

Nerylie has worked with the QUT undergraduate podiatry course as second year clinical tutor over the past 20years. During this time she purchased her own private practice in Stafford. After 13 years this practice was sold to Lisa Wilkes.

Nerylie has worked with her professional association as councilor and state president and served on the Queensland Podiatrists Registration Board. She maintains her interest in general podiatry, wound care and now provides Nail Bracing as an alternative to nail surgery for ingrown toenails.


AngelaAngela Spink

Angela graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science. She then completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) with First Class Honours, from QUT in 2000.

On graduating Angela worked in various part-time and locum positions on the north side of Brisbane, as well as community and residential aged care work for Blue Care’s Sunshine Coast Hinterland region. During her time with Blue Care she implemented a new model of care including training programs for staff, supervised Allied Health Assistants, oversaw the Quality Audit Program, helped develop a multidisciplinary Diabetes Clinic and Wound Care Clinic and acted as Allied Health Manager.

In 2006 Angela was Project Officer for The Queensland Aged Care Skill Ecosystem (Supply Chain) Project in partnership with the Queensland Community Services and Health Industry Skills Training Council. This project looked at enhancing and supporting the roles of Allied Health Assistants.

Angela joined the team at Podiatry Point in 2008. She enjoys all aspects of podiatry and aims to make an improvement in all her patients’ foot health.


GenevieveGenevieve Schweitzer
Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) (Honours)

Genevieve Schweitzer graduated with honours from QUT in 2003 and is a State Registered Podiatrist.  She has worked in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast as a podiatrist. She also worked for QUT developing new on-line teaching strategies and tutoring 3rd year students.   

Genevieve has a special interest in paediatrics.

Mark graduated with honours from QUT in 2009 and was the recipient of the 2009 Medeleq Award.   Mark is a State Registered Podiatrist, a member of the Australian Podiatry Association (Qld) and a member of the Sports Podiatry Queensland special interest group.  Mark has a special interest in sports and injury rehabilitation, but also enjoys paediatrics and treating ingrown toenails.
